The AQRA will continue to sponsor the Arizona Triple Crown for 2009
The horse with the most points for running in these three races...
* The 2009 Desert Classic Futurity
* The 2009 Margie Bryan ASOA Futurity
AND
* the AQRA Restricted Stallion Futurity
will receive a Charmac Three Horse Slant Trailer...

The 2009 G3 Desert Classic Futurity with an estimated purse of over $100,000
will be run Friday May 1, at Turf Paradise...
The trials will be run April 10

The 2009 AQRA PRESIDENTS OPEN SPRING FUTURITY
will be run April 17 and the trials will be March 27 at Turf Paradise.….

We sponsor the AQRA President's Open Spring Futurity
(2009 dates to be announced)Grade 3

We sponsor the AQRA Restricted Stallion Futurity. Grade 3

We sponsor the Arizona Stallion Owners Association Futurity G3

We sponsor the AQRA /Turf Paradise Open Futurity and Derby.

We support legislation for Arizona Racing.

We support the Arizona County Fair Racing with added money races
each week end and a AQRA Older HorseSeries at each Fair Race Meet.

We give end-of-the-year awards for Arizona Horses
who have excelled in their catagories in the state each year.

We sponsor a Stallion Service Auction each year
to support the Desert Classic Stakes Program.

We sponsor a Yearling and Broodmare sale each fall
to support our organization and a member service for our breeders and owners.
(The 2009 Sale is slated for October 25, 6 PM, at the Pima County Fairgrounds, Tucson, Arizona)

We support the Arizona Youth with two racing scholarships each year,
and host "Youth Day at the Races" through out the year at various racetracks. call 602-625-0468 for details...

Our Mission Statement

The mission of the Arizona Quarter Racing Association is to represent the best interests of racing owners, breeders, stallion owners and trainers participating in the state of Arizona.

To communicate and cooperate with the state legislature, racing commission and the department of racing.

To work directly with commercial race tracks and county fair racing associations for enhanced Quarter Horse racing opportunities.

To publicize and promote advantages of participating in Arizona Quarter Horse racing to racing fans, other Quarter Horse owners, new owners and breeders, media and the general public.
